Editing users information

This tutorial will guide you through the process of updating or editing user information in Kyte.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

⚠️ For the changes to take effect, ask the user to log out and log back into their account after the edits were made.

In Kyte PDV or Kyte Catalog

  1. Log in as an administrator

  2. Access the Users menu

  3. Select the user you want to edit

  4. Make the desired changes

  5. Tap Save

💡 Understand the types of users and permissions available in your Kyte account:

Main user (owner)

Created when the account is first registered, it is responsible for the account's primary data and is the only one who can manage plan subscriptions. As it cannot be edited or deleted, please contact our support team via chat in the Help menu of your Kyte account to request changes.

Administrator users

Authorized to access all resources, as well as edit the access and permissions of other users. Can have their data edited by other administrator users or by the account owner.

Non-administrator users

Can have different levels of access to the account and resources, according to the permissions set.

  • Allow use from a personal device: This allows access to the account from any device, instead of limiting it to just the device where the user was originally created;

  • View transactions from other users: This expands access to all orders placed in the account, including those coming from the online catalog;

  • Give discounts: This allows your team to enter discounts on the value of products and on the total value of sales completed in the app;

  • Create or edit products: This offers full control over the management of product data such as price, name, and description, but to make changes in stock it is necessary to activate the Manage Inventory permission as well;

  • Allow Pay Later: This allows your team to make sales using credit card, manage debt payments, and add credits to your customers' accounts.

    ⚠️ Users without this permission can still receive payments for debits, as well as make sales on credit, as long as the customer already has feature active in the Kyte account.
