How to edit user information

Edit access information and permissions for users registered in your Kyte account.

In this article, you'll learn how to edit user information in your Kyte account using the app or Kyte Web.


In Kyte POS

  1. Log in as an admin

  2. Go to the Users menu

  3. Tap the name of the user you want to edit

  4. Make the necessary changes

  5. Tap Save

⚠️ Ask the user to log out and back in after editing to apply the changes.


💻 On Kyte Web

  1. Log in as an admin

  2. Go to the Users menu

  3. Click the user you want to edit

  4. Make the necessary changes

  5. Click Save changes


👥 User types and permissions

👤 Main user (owner)
Created when the account is opened, cannot be edited or removed. Contact support via the Help menu chat if changes are needed.

🛠 Admin users
Have full access and can manage other users and permissions.


🗂️ Non-admin users
Have limited access depending on their permissions, such as:

  • View other users’ transactions

  • Create or edit products

  • Enable pay later sales

  • Manage stock

✅ Only admin users can edit other users and their permissions
🔐 Use the “Allow use on personal phone” option to grant access on another device
📊 Set permissions based on the user’s role: view transactions, offer discounts, or manage inventory
