How to register a user in Kyte

Add team members with custom permissions and login details.

In this article, you’ll learn how to register users in your Kyte account, assigning individual permissions through the app or web.


In Kyte POS

  1. Open the Users menu

  2. Tap the + button in the top right corner

  3. Enter a name and an email not yet used in Kyte

  4. Tap Next

  5. Set the permissions the user should have

  6. Create a password with more than 6 digits

  7. Tap Create user

  8. The user will receive login details via email


💻 On Kyte Web

  1. Go to the Users menu

  2. Click the + Users button in the top right corner

  3. Enter the user’s name and a valid email

  4. Click Next

  5. Choose the permissions for this user

  6. Set a password with more than 6 digits

  7. Click Next to finish

  8. The user will receive login instructions via email


👥 Types of users

👑 Primary user (owner)
Created with the account and can’t be edited; contact support for changes.

🔧 Administrator
Can access all features and manage users.

👤 Standard user (non-admin)
Has custom permissions like:

  • Access from personal devices

  • View other users' sales

  • Apply discounts

  • Manage products

  • Enable “Pay Later” (credit) sales

⚠️ Even without the permission active, users can receive debit payments as well as make credit sales, if the customers already have this option active in their account.


💡 Useful tips

✅ Use a unique email for each staff member
🔐 Only admins and the owner can edit or delete other users
📥 Ask the user to log out and back in after any profile change
