Setting up sales fees

Charge taxes or fees for sales registered in person by a user in your Kyte account.

Updated over a week ago

On the Kyte app 📱

  1. Access the Settings menu

  2. Enter Sales Tax

  3. Tap the Collect sales tax toggle to enable the feature

  4. Select whether the tax will be charged as a percentage or as a fixed price

  5. Fill in the fields with the Description and the Sales Tax amount to be charged

  6. If you choose to charge a percentage rate, select if it is going to be:

Added to the price: where the fee is added to the final price, such as a service fee charged in restaurants

Included in price (VAT): in this case no amount will be added as it is already accounted for in the final amount, in the case of taxes for example

  7. Activate the Allow exemption option if you want to remove it before finalizing the sale in the cart.

⚠️ This option will not work with amounts included in the sale price.
