Clearing the cache to fix errors

Corrupted or outdated caches can generate errors on your Kyte, here's how and when to do this process to fix them.

Updated over a week ago

Caches are data saved temporarily to speed up processes that you do frequently and repeatedly. If they are faulty or out of date, they can generate errors on your Kyte such as the app not opening correctly, the appearance of a white or green screen or updates that are not done correctly.

On Android devices

  1. Access your device's Settings menu

  2. Enter the Applications option

  3. Select the Kyte app

  4. Tap Storage

  5. Then on Clear Cache

  6. Finally click on Clear data

On Apple devices

  1. Delete your Kyte app

  2. Restart your device

  3. Reinstall Kyte from the App Store

On your computer

The cache clearing process differs depending on the browser being used, but there are shortcuts that can help clear the process only on the screen that is currently open.

  • In Windows and Linux browsers press CTRL + F5 buttons together

  • In Safari on Apple computers press the SHIFT button and click the button to reload the screen

  • In Chrome and Firefox browsers on Apple computers press CMD + SHIFT + R buttons together

⚠️ Clearing caches, cookies and data can resolve these issues but make sure that all data has been updated in your account as the process will erase what is saved in the memory of your mobile device, tablet or browser.
