How to charge fees for card payments

Pass the card payment fee to your customer

In this article, you will learn how to enable and configure charging fees for payments made by credit or debit card in Kyte.

⚠️ The fees are deducted from revenue and not from the profit from your sales. To see the profit from your sales, access the Profit section in the Analytics menu.

📱 On Kyte App

  1. Open the Settings menu

  2. Tap Payment options

  3. Tap Terms and fees

  4. Enable the fee by tapping the Gray button

  5. Choose the term for receiving the fee
    ⚠️ For payments received the same day, select the 0-day term

  6. Define whether the days will be calendar or business days

  7. Enter the fee percentage

  8. Tap Save

💻 On Kyte Web

  1. Go to the Statistics menu

  2. Click Payment method

  3. Go to the Receiving Date tab to see payments made by credit and debit cards
    ⚠️ Other payment methods will appear with the Sale Date

  4. Use filters to access specific periods or days

  5. Click each payment method to view its details

In Kyte Control

  1. Access the Cash Flow menu

  2. You will see the total input and output quantifiers

  3. Tap the Inputs tab to see more details

    ⚠️ The values ​​appear on the day they are received, so do not search by the date of sale, but rather by the deadline for receipt that was registered in the Terms and fees section in your Kyte POS or Kyte Catalog apps.

  4. The amount of fees will appear below the total received by credit and debit card

💡 Useful tips

🔄 Card fees are deducted from the revenue and not from the profit of the sale.
📈 Check the fees received by accessing the Cash Flow in Kyte App and Kyte Web.
⚠️ When configuring fees, they cannot be applied to cash sales.
💳 For immediate receipt, choose the 0-day term to charge the fee.
